William Baird
Area of practice: Trainee Solicitor
Will is a Trainee Solicitor who currently studies at the University of South Wales, combining his part time legal practice course with his training contract. He joined Robertsons as a Legal Assistant in the Residential Conveyancing department in 2017. He currently works alongside Chris Barber in the contentious department dealing with a wide variety of matters including civil litigation, debt recovery and employment. Will is due to qualify as a solicitor in June 2020.

Chris Barber
Area of practice: Family and Civil Litigation
Chris studied Law and French at Cardiff University, his LPC at Bristol and qualified with Robertsons in 2011.  He deals with family matters including cohabitation, divorce and children disputes. He also undertakes extensive work in civil litigation disputes and acts for a number of large financial companies. Chris is an accredited family law solicitor by Resolution, an accredited civil & commercial mediator and is the author of "Law for start-up Businesses".

Samantha Cavender
Area of practice: Residential Conveyancing
Samantha studied her law degree and legal practice course in Swansea and began her career at Keith Evans where she undertook her training contract and qualified in 2013. She joined Robertsons in 2015 initially working in our Site department where she undertook work for large UK developers gaining valuable experience. Samantha now runs our residential conveyancing department which successfully deals with all types of conveyancing.

Afonwy studied Law with Business at Portsmouth University before moving to Cardiff. Previously at Hugh James, 
Afonwy joined Robertsons in February 2018 as Head of Probate. She specialises in estate administration, trusts, wills and lasting powers of attorney. Afonwy is accredited by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and holds an accreditation for Solicitors for Elderly Clients.

Tom Sidford
Area of practice: Commercial Property
Tom read history at Leeds University before completing the required legal courses at Cardiff University. He joined Robertsons as a trainee solicitor in 2013 and qualified in 2015. Tom works as a member of our Commercial Property department and has experience in a range of commercial matters, including business and property sales and acquisitions, refinancing and Landlord and Tenant work.
Rhian Whiting Child Care and Family Law at Robertsons Solicitors in Cardiff
Rhian Whiting
Area of practice: Child Care Law
Rhian studied law at University of Wales Aberystwyth and the Legal Practice Course at Chester College of Law. She trained in a Cardiff firm and qualified in 1998. Rhian joined Robertsons in June 2016. Rhian acts in care proceedings representing children through their guardians as well as parents and members of extended families. Rhian is a member of the Law Society's Children Panel and has Higher Courts Advocacy Rights.
Claire Wilde Residential Property and Conveyancer in Robertsons Solicitors Site Development team
Claire Wilde
Area of practice: Residential Conveyancing
Claire studied law at the University of Glamorgan. She trained and qualified at John Morgan and Partners in March 2006 and initially worked in residential conveyancing matters before heading up a new build team. Claire joined Robertsons in November 2013 and works in our Site Development department working closely with large UK developers and helped to set up the Help to Buy Scheme in Wales.
Eleri Williams
Eleri Williams
Area of practice: Trainee Solicitor
Eleri studied her undergraduate law degree and Legal Practice Course at Cardiff University. She joined Robertsons as a legal assistant in 2018 in the Commercial Property department. Eleri started her training contract with the firm in May 2019 and is currently in her first seat in Commercial Property. Eleri is a fluent Welsh speaker and is the Chair of the Cardiff and South East Wales Junior Lawyers Division for the 2019/20 committee. Eleri is due to qualify as a solicitor in November 2020.
